GLR Arquitectos, the practice of architect Gilberto L. Rodríguez, created this stunning contemporary casa in the mountainous city of Monterrey, Mexico. Casa CG is a resort-style home with a long, concrete and wood structure with a focus on relaxation and entertainment. The rear side of the home features a terraced patio with a swimming pool, while the front has a raised privacy deck with a stunning view of Monterrey below. Inside, rooms range slightly in elevation, creating an interesting layout that reflects the topography of the home’s site. While the furnishing of the interior leaves a bit to be desired (see: comfort), we love the look of this home’s exterior. The natural wood and white concrete structure looks lovely at night in the well-placed exterior lighting. [GLR Arquitectos via contemporist] View in gallery View in gallery View in gallery
