The Portland-based artist Jim Kazanjian is at once a photographer and a creator of worlds, a master of the collage and the imaginary landscape. His images are woven from hundreds of real life photographs of nature, of architecture and landscapes that are intricately woven together to yield an entirely new world. New structures rise out of dangerous environments that do not appear to be physically possible, but look to be real nonetheless.
